RanOx™ is programable (by the User) to set maximum current, boost and float voltages. In addition, you can select optional behaviour, including time limits on "boost" charge, inbuilt engine start detection and timed transfer. It has very comprehensive LED and LCD display of vehicle and caravan battery voltages and currents. It provides efficient multi-stage controlled  charging, equivalent to the best mains powered chargers. It will drive external relays to provide additional features, such as Master-Load-Off which isolates all battery loads.

The above plot clearly shows the real difference RanOx™ makes to charging a caravan/camper/trailer battery. After a 46Ah discharge, RanOx™ replaces 44 Ah of capacity in 142 minute. RanOx™ continues to "top-up" this capacity during the "float" stage. A direct "bypass" cable (common relay system)  manages only 24 Ah in the same time. Thus RanOx™ delivers 185% of cable charge in the same time. The cable "system" takes 365 minute to deliver the same 44Ah that RanOx™ delivers, at the transition to "float" - 260% LONGER time! Compare the 23 Amp RanOx™ current during the "bulk" charging stage, with the ever decreasing "bypass" current, which is always less than RanOx™. These tests are with a constant 13.8 Volt alternator supply and 6 B&S (13 sq. mm) vehicle cable. A lower alternator voltage (and/or thinner cable) will significantly reduce the cable current and its charge, but has little effect on RanOx™, which will fully charge the battery (although it may take longer than the above example). At lower voltages, without RanOx™, the battery will NEVER fully charge, wasting those $$, reducing battery lifetime and load duration.

An under bonnet battery will also benefit greatly from the addition of RanOx™, especially with modern common rail diesel engines and their ECU controlled alternators. These have significantly reduced alternator output, when the engine bay is hot and electrical system loaded. If the auxiliary battery is located in the rear of the vehicle, the much cooler temperature is better for this battery, but it certainly requires "boosting" to achieve full charge. RanOx™ charge parameters can of course be varied by you, so it suits your battery, not the vehicle manufacturer.

RanOx™ is designed for use between a vehicle and a caravan/camper/trailer auxiliary battery. It may also be used in a 4WD or Motor-Home system. If installed and programmed correctly, it will compensate for cable losses to fully charge then float this auxiliary battery, with the correct voltage and current for that battery.  Using this booster for any other purpose may cause damage to the booster and/or other appliances. However, please contact us to discuss the many other possible applications, including mains operation.

Battery Temperature probe is now standard. If desired the factory can preset all parameters, provided the purchaser can specify the battery's requirements.
